Image to PDF

Turn photos and scans into a clean, single PDF document.

Photos and scans into one document

Sending twelve phone photos of a signed document is not a professional way to submit anything. A single PDF is easier to open, easier to print and much harder to lose.

Add your images, set the page size, and download a finished PDF. The whole process happens in your browser, so sensitive documents stay on your device.

How to convert images to PDF

  1. Add your images.
  2. Drag them into the order you want.
  3. Choose a page size and orientation.
  4. Press Create PDF and download.

Page size options

A4 is the standard for most of the world. Letter is standard in the United States and Canada. Fit to image uses the photo’s own proportions, which is best for scans and screenshots where white margins would look wrong.

If you are printing, use the paper size of your printer. If you are submitting online, fit to image usually looks cleaner.

Getting a good scan with a phone

  • Use even lighting and avoid a hard shadow from your hand.
  • Hold the phone parallel to the page. Perspective distortion is the main reason scans look amateur.
  • Use a scanning app if you can. It corrects perspective and boosts contrast before export.
  • Keep the file under about 2 MB per page. Large photo files make slow PDFs.

After you convert

If the document has more than a few pages, Compress Image can shrink the source images first. If you need to add pages from another document, Merge PDF joins them. If the PDF later needs to be split, Split PDF does that in one step.

Questions

Frequently asked

Are my photos uploaded?

No. The PDF is assembled in your browser. Your images never leave your device.

Can I control the page size?

Yes. Choose A4, Letter or fit to image. Fit to image uses the photo's own proportions with no white borders.

Will the PDF be searchable?

Only if the original images contained text that a scanner already recognised. This tool places images on pages, it does not run OCR.

How many images can I add?

The practical limit is memory. Dozens of phone photos work fine on a normal laptop.

Can I reorder the pages?

Yes. Move images up or down before converting.
