Merge PDF

Combine several PDFs into one clean document, right in your browser.

Merge PDF files without uploading them

Most PDF tools ask you to upload your documents, wait for a server, then download the result. This one does not. The merge runs in your browser using the same PDF engine that powers millions of documents every day, so the only copy of your file is the one already on your device.

That matters if you are combining contracts, medical records, bank statements or anything else you would rather not hand to a stranger’s server.

How to merge PDF files

  1. Drop your PDFs into the box above, or click to choose them.
  2. Drag the files into the order you want. The first file becomes the first page of the result.
  3. Press Merge PDF. The combined document downloads straight away.

There is no signup step, no email address, and no waiting queue. A 50 page merge usually finishes in under two seconds on a normal laptop.

What you keep when you use this tool

  • Selectable text. Merging does not flatten your document into images.
  • Original resolution. Embedded images and scans are copied without recompression.
  • Bookmarks and links. Internal links that still point inside the merged file continue to work.
  • The exact page order you set. No automatic sorting and no surprises.

Common uses for merging PDFs

  • Joining a signed contract with its appendices before sending it on.
  • Combining monthly invoices into one file for an accountant.
  • Putting a CV, cover letter and portfolio into a single application document.
  • Assembling scanned pages from a phone into one readable file.

A note on privacy

Browser based processing is not a marketing line here, it is the architecture. There is no upload endpoint to leak, no temporary folder to forget to delete, and no storage bill that pushes us toward keeping your files. When you close the tab, the document is gone from memory.

If you need to split a large file afterwards, use Split PDF. If you need to shrink the result before emailing it, Compress Image handles the images inside it.

Questions

Frequently asked

Are my PDF files uploaded to a server?

No. The merge happens inside your browser. Your files stay on your device from start to finish, and nothing is sent to us or to anyone else.

Is there a file size or page limit?

The practical limit is your device's memory. Most laptops handle documents of several hundred pages without trouble. We cap each batch at 20 files to keep things stable.

Does merging reduce quality?

No. The pages are copied across exactly as they are. Text stays selectable and images keep their original resolution.

Can I change the order of the files?

Yes. Use the arrows next to each file to move it up or down before you merge. The order you set is the order in the final document.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. The tool works in Safari on iPhone and Chrome on Android. For very large files, a desktop browser is more comfortable.

Is it really free?

Yes, with no account and no daily limit. There are no watermarks and no hidden export step.
